AURER — Privacy Policy

AURER (“we”, “us”, the “App”) provides AI-assisted facial and lifestyle analysis. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Photos you capture: the face and outfit photos you take in the App for analysis.
• Physical and lifestyle details you enter: height, weight, and your questionnaire answers.
• Profile context: your stated goal and presentation preferences.
• Account data: your name and email (via our authentication provider).
• Usage data: basic app activity needed to operate features such as your analysis history and entitlements.
• Device and advertising identifiers: your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, together with standard device information such as device model and operating system version. Used for advertising measurement as described below.

We do not collect data from Apple HealthKit. All physical/biometric details are entered manually by you.

How we use your information

• To generate your personalized facial analysis, styling guidance, and improvement roadmap.
• To save your analyses so you can view your history and track changes over time.
• To operate your account, subscription, and support requests.

We do not sell your data for money, and we never use your photos, analyses, questionnaire answers, or physical details for advertising or to train our own or any third party’s AI models.

We do share a limited set of app activity — app opens, completed analyses, paywall views and purchases — together with your advertising identifier if you allow it, so we can measure how well our own advertising works. This is described in full under Advertising and measurement (Meta).

Sharing with third-party AI (OpenAI)

To generate your results, AURER securely transmits your captured photos and the personal details listed in Section 1 (height, weight, questionnaire answers, goal and presentation preferences) to OpenAI, a third-party AI provider, which processes this data on our behalf to produce your analysis.

OpenAI processes this data only to return your results. Per OpenAI’s API data usage policies, data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI’s models. We require all third-party processors to protect your information with the same level of care described in this policy.

Other service providers

We also use the following providers strictly to operate the App:

• Supabase — authentication, secure storage of your photos and analysis history, and account management.
• Superwall / Apple (StoreKit) — subscription and purchase management.
• Meta Platforms — advertising measurement and optimisation, as described in the next section.

Advertising and measurement (Meta)

We advertise AURER on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. So that we can tell which of our ads actually lead to installs and purchases — and stop paying for the ones that don’t — the App includes the Meta SDK, which sends a limited set of information to Meta Platforms, Inc.

What we share with Meta:

• Your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you allow tracking when iOS asks.
• App activity: when you open the App, when an analysis completes, and when a paywall is shown.
• When you buy a subscription or credit pack: the amount, the currency, and the App Store transaction and product identifiers.
• Standard technical information the SDK collects, such as device model, operating system version, app version and IP address.

What we never share with Meta: your photos, your analysis results, your questionnaire answers, your height or weight, your name, or your email address. None of that reaches Meta at any point.

Meta acts as an independent controller of the information it receives and uses it in accordance with the Meta Privacy Policy.

Your choice. The first time you open the App, iOS asks whether AURER may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, we do not share your advertising identifier, and iOS itself blocks the App from sending this activity to Meta. Nothing else about the App changes, and every feature keeps working. You can change your answer at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

Consent and your control

We request your explicit consent before any photos or personal details are sent to OpenAI. You can withdraw consent at any time in the App under Settings → Data & Privacy. Withdrawing consent disables AI analysis; the rest of the App remains usable.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your photos and analyses for as long as your account is active so your history remains available. You can delete individual analyses, or permanently delete your account and all associated data, in Settings. Deletion removes your profile, scans, and history from our systems.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

If you are in California or another jurisdiction with comparable law, our sharing of advertising identifiers and app activity with Meta may be treated as a “sale” or as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, even though we receive no money for it. Declining the tracking prompt, or turning tracking off in iOS Settings, is a complete opt-out — you do not need to contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
